IDEA

K-Pop has always been a major source of inspiration for me and played a key role in sparking my passion for media design. That’s why I chose to explore this fascination  as part of my bachelor’s project.

My idea was to recreate a typical K-Pop style album promotion and apply it to a fictional, global girl group. I focused on two core elements of these promotions, which I carefully analyzed and reinterpreted in my own way.

The final project consists of a music video teaser and a highlight medley.
The highlight medley serves as an album preview, showcasing a 30-second snippet of each track paired with fitting visuals. The music video teaser is a short 30-second clip that offers a first glimpse of the music video and song before the official release.

CONCEPT

My fictional girl group DOLLZ consists of four members from different countries coming together to form a global group. The name “DOLLZ” is closely tied to the album concept, titled Porcelain Hearts. The album features five songs and explores the journey of growing up—with all its highs and lows.

At its core, it deals with childhood: how we learn to let it go, but also how we can continue to carry it within us as adults. The concept embraces a nostalgic style and conveys the idea of “healing the inner child.”

This theme is expressed metaphorically through the group members, who are intentionally designed to resemble dolls. The album follows the typical K-Pop format, consisting of an intro, a title track, and three additional songs.
